July 2nd, 2011: Beef Burgundy, Gyro Burgers and Flavored Vodka









This day I cooked Beef Burgandy, Gyro Burgers and finally filtered the Vodka I was curing. I also put some peppers in brine to pickle. So, here we go: pics to follow. I'm on a computer that I can't really add shit tonight. I've got a lot of cooking going on. The Gyro burgers are ground lamb with spices topped with Feta cheese, a tomato, some onions and home made tzatziki (is that how you spell it?) sauce made using mint leaves, cucumbers, greak yogurt and garlic. The Beef Burgandy was made using Anthony Bourdain's recipe and frozen to be eating as meals during the week. I did not anticipate the lamb shrinking as much as it did, and I'm disappointed in the outcome.
